WHAT IS MINDFULNESS?

Mindfulness is the cultivation of awareness that we grow by paying attention to certain primordial elements. The benefits are manifested when we can identify the thoughts, feelings and bodily sensations as they arise moment by moment, without judgment.

The harvesting process nurtures us and teaches us to calm down, rest, be present, generate a physiological slowdown in our metabolism, and possibly initiate reflection on what it means to live an awakened life.

People practice mindfulness for a variety of reasons, and underlying them is the intention to alleviate suffering, generate peace, happiness, health, and increase well-being in their lives.

It is likely that every culture on earth has generated some sort of cultivation of awareness.

The concept of Mindfulness appears in the contemporary western culture to support the understanding of some of this ancestral knowledge on a modern way, based on science.
